Chapter 1: Q&A's
“Ma'am the plane is about to land. Please fasten your seat belt.”
Natigil ang pagmumuni muni niya ng marinig ang sinabi ng flight attendant.Agad niyang ikinabit ang seatbelt niya at nag-usal ng panalangin ng pasasalamat dahil sa wakas ay nasa Pilipinas na siya.
Sari-saring emosyon ang namutawi sa kanyang isipan. Emosyong di niya akalang sisibol pa.
Kamusta na kaya siya? Anang isip niya.
Sa pagkakatanda niya ay mahigit tatlong taon na mula ng lisanin niya ang bansang ito at ngayon ay nagbabalik siya. Ang last destination ng Asian tour niya ay ang Pilipinas. Pinasadya niyang ito ang huli sa listahan para makapag pahinga at makapag bakasyon rin siya. Alam niyang marami siyang dapat asikasuhin sa bansang kailanman ay may puwang sa puso niya.
Alam niyang marami siyang dapat balikan at ihingi ng kapatawaran. May babalikan pa siya at si Warren Rafael Villalobos iyon. Malaki ang kasalanan niya sa huli. May pag-asa pa kayang mapatawad siya nito? May babalikan pa kaya siya?
“Let's go Andi.” Sabi ng handler niya
Alam niyang paglabas nila mula sa eroplano ay dudumugin siya ng mga tao lalo na ng media kaya inihanda na niya ang pekeng ngiti niya na matagal na niyang pinag-aralan at ginagawa.
Akala ng karamihan ay masaya siya. Sino nga ba ang hindi? Siya ang sought after actress, model, endorser at singer ng buong mundo. Nakukuha niya ang lahat, napupuntahan niya ang lahat ng lugar, binibigyan siya ng espesyal na pagtrato at higit sa lahat tinitingala siya.
Pero kahit sa dinami daming achievements niya ay di niya makuhang maging masaya dahil wala doon ang puso niya. Alam niyang simulat sapol, iisang tao lang ang nagmamay-ari nun at walang iba kundi si Ren Villalobos.
Pagod siya sa biyahe pero may pupuntahan pa siyang press conference niya. Ilang fans at security guard at media rin ang sumalubong sa kanya bago siya makapasok sa sasakyan na inilaan sa kanya. Todo ngiti lamang siya at kaway dahil pinagbawalan siyang magsalita ng handler niya dahil para iyon sa presscon niya.
“Gosh! I think I won't last a week in this country. The weather is so hot!” reklamo ng handler niyang si Mimi.
Si Mimi ay P.A at handler niya. Assistant rin ito ng manager niya. Hindi niya kasama ang manager niya sa kadahilanang busy rin ito sa ibang alaga. Susunod na lamang ito sa nalalapit na araw ng concert niya.
Dala niya mula sa Asian tour niya ang limang bodyguards niya. Isang stylist niya, isang make-up artist niya, ang yaya niya at ang dalawang handler/P.A niya. Close na siya sa mga taong ito dahil ito lagi ang kasakasama niya saan man siya magpunta.
Her bodyguards were John, Luke, Mark, Matthew and David. Her stylist is Divine Guk a half Korean half Filipino. Her make-up artist is Michelle Fan a pure Chinese, ang yaya niya simula bata siya na si Yaya Esme, ang isa niya PA na si Pamela Hutch an American and Mimi short for Mimosa Malucban pure Filipino na lumaki sa States.
“Now I can have my perfect tan here. I heard this country has lots of great beaches!” Pamela
“What can you say D?” Baling niya sa stylist niyang si Divine.
“I'll visit my relatives here as soon as your concert is over.” Divine
Isang buwan siyang mamamalagi sa bansa at sa Sabado na ang concert niya. Pinasya niyang pumikit muna dahil stuck sila sa traffic.
Naalimpungatan lamang siya sa marahang tapik sa kanya ng make up artist niyang si Michelle.
“I'll do your make-up sweetie.”
Wala na silang oras dahil pagkalabas niya ng coaster niya ay diretso siya sa presscon niya. After a minute Michelle is done. Sa loob na lamang siya coaster nagpalitng damit.
Pagkababa niya ay dinumog siya ng fans niya at ng media but her bodyguards was there to protect her kaya matiwasay siyang nakapasok sa venue.\
She plastered a smile on her face and she waved to say Hi. Nakarating siya sa venue at umupo siya sa upuang inilaan sa kanya but before she sit ay nakipag beso-beso siya sa host.
Tiningnan niya ang mag-iinterview sa kanya ang batikang host na si Jessica Abunda. Kilala niya ito at isa ito sa mga respitadong nes anchor ng bansa. Ang ibang media men ay naka upo sa inilaang upuan sa mga ito and from time to time ay magbibigay na lamang ng follow-up questions.
“I have always love her. And I admire her because of her achievements in life and to her career. She have been in the international scene for almost three years now and she established her name in Hollywood and in the world. She is the pride of Filipino people, our very own Andi Romualdez!” simula ng host
Masigabong na palakpakan ang sumalubong sa kanya and she answered it with a genuine smile.
“Hello Andi! Welcome home!” host
“Thank you, thank you! Wow. I love the warm welcome guys!” Siya
“Salamat at pinaunlakan mo kaming lahat sa interview na ito Andi. You are live in national television now.”
“Its my pleasure po.” AA
“So, how's the Asian tour so far?”
“It was great, really great! The warm welcome was so overwhelming and the people in every places I've been to was so friendly! I couldn't ask for more!”
“ You had your concert tour in every places here in Asia, so far, what country is the best?”
“Oh. Every places I've been to has their own unique way to welcome me so all I can say is they really made me feel at home. And I don't need to make a comparison.”
“Your last destination in your concert tour was the Philippines. Why is that?”
“I wanted to have my vacation here and I really miss my own country and my friends so I want to spend my time with them.”
Kasama na kasi ni AA sa States ang kanyang pamilya. Sinabihan siya ng kanyang ina na bisitahin ang iba pa nilang kapamilya pero di pa niya alam sa inilaang schedule niya.
“Any special someone whom you wanted to visit here?”
Hindi lantad ang relasyon nila noon ni Warren dahil na rin sa vice president ng bansa ang ama nito. Kokonti lang ang naka alam na may relasyon sila nito. Pero alam niyang may ibig ipakahulugan ang host sa sinabi nito.
“Nah. I don't still have any plans at this moment. I'll visit my friends soon.”
“So why did you guys opt for Peppermint?”
Peppermint is an all girl group consisted by 5 members including her. Ang iba niyang kasama ay sina Miranda, Sunny, Tiffany at Yuri. Recently lamang ginawa ang girl group nila.
“We couldn't come up for a good name. We were busy planning for our band name when Yuri asked Sunny to give her a gum that is peppermint flavor. Then Tiffany suggested Peppermint. That made our band name.” Paliwanag niya
“You are active in your feeding and educational programs. Are you planning on having it here?”
“Yes I did! Actually I have volunteers here. They run for my foundation here in the Philippines and I think more than hundreds of people had been given help especially those who had experienced typhoons.”
“You are called as plastic. Is it true?”
“Haha! This is just me. A lot of people hates me and thinks that I'm a great pretender. I am also human. I get offended, I have my own feelings too. I get hurt but still I smile. I say what I wanted to say. I easily get pissed off but I don't mind them.”
“Let's talk about your love life. Someone special?”
“I'm going to keep it private na lang.”
“I haven't heard you having a boyfriend for the past years. Are you a man hater?”
“I don't hate men. It's just that I haven't found a man who would be good enough for me.”
“So how's your relationship with your love team Alex Evans? He's so vocal about what she feels for you.”
“We're good. Yes we're good.” yan lamang ang nasabi niya sa host tungkol sa ka love team niyang si Alex Evans.
“Is he coming also here?”
“he had lots of things to do so I don't think he can come here.”
“Any message for your fans?”
“hey guys its me Andi and i'll be having my concert at Araneta SMX this coming saturday so I hope you'll come and watch out for my next album and my new film together with Alex which will be out soon I think. Thats all and thanks for your love and support!”
“Thanks Andi and enjoy your stay here in our country!”
Binigyan ulit siya ng isang masigabong na palakpakan and a bouquet of flowers.
“I will. Thanks guys!”
After the interview ay diretso na siya sa hotel na inilaan sa kanya. Thinking of what she'll do just to meet Warren Rafael Villalobos. She wonders how he is now and if he's in a relationship or not. She can't help but to reminsce about their past and with a big smile on her face, she slept. At dala marahil ng matindig pagod ay agad siyang nakatulog.
